Scribe Publishing Company was founded as an independent trade publisher in 2011 by Jennifer Baum, publisher and editorial director, and is based in Royal Oak, Michigan. We are currently accepting submissions.

As a startup company exploring a new business model in a changing industry, we do not currently offer advances to the authors we sign, but we do offer better royalties than the “Big Six” publishers. Authors selected to be published by Scribe Publishing Company will never be asked to pay to have their work published, and we work with our authors to create a tailored marketing and distribution plan for each book to ensure it is accessible when and where its audience is seeking it. Editorial, design and marketing services will always be included with every book we publish, and at any time post publication, authors have the option to add on additional marketing, publicity or social media support through Scribe Publishing Company’s parent company, Scribe Consulting (but it is not and never will be required).
