Legacy in Legend Series
By Barbara Pietron
Book 3 of the Legacy in Legend series
Not all dreams are meant to be followed.
Although Jeni has fully accepted her spiritual ability, she’s unnerved by the apparition of a pioneer girl asking for help. But as the girl’s tragic love story unfolds in her dreams, Jeni’s resistance melts and she resolves to save the soul of the ghost’s lost love.
Jeni dreams through the eyes of the ghost girl, Marielle, experiencing the ill-fated turn of events firsthand. When she discovers that her own impulses cause Marielle to act uncharacteristically, Jeni believes she can change the past. Despite warnings against meddling with time, Jeni forges ahead, convinced she can use the dreams to find the moment where the soul of Marielle’s lover might be saved.
Deep inside a dream and intent on her quest, Jeni is lured into a trap which binds her soul to the ghost girl. If she can escape the evil force that tricked her, she’ll still need to figure out how to return to the present. With no allies, no knowledge about crossing through time, and limited 18th century resources, Jen is terrified by her prospects. Failure will leave her soul trapped in the past, or worse . . . lost in nowhere.
Book 2 of the Legacy in Legend series
Jeni thought she could deny her ability; forget the spirit world. Except the spirit world didn’t forget her . . .
After her harrowing experience with the mythic underwater monster, Jeni Stonewall intends to discover the nature of her newfound spiritual ability. But debilitating nightmares derail her search, leaving Jeni desperate to go back to normal life. Then her boyfriend, Ice, doesn’t show up to join her on vacation and she discovers that he’s not only been abducted, but cursed—a curse that makes him a threat to Jeni’s life. The quest for answers leads to an evil entity from Irish and Celtic legend that has been exacting vengeance for centuries. To best this formidable foe, Jeni will have to accept her “new normal” and embrace ancient druid magic if she hopes to break the curse before it takes her life.

When sixteen-year-old Ice is visited by an evil spirit, his medicine man training warns him that things aren’t right in his quiet Northern Minnesota town. The hunt is on to find the charm and the person using it before the town is overrun by cannibalistic monsters. Although the pieces of the puzzle come together to form an impossible conclusion, one which will challenge traditional belief and question numerous ritualistic items, Ice knows he must still reveal the truth. Standalone novel by Barbara Pietron:
Sixteen-year-old Jack Ironwood knew exactly what he wanted. Until he got it. Jack was content to stay unnoticed by pretty and popular track star, Natalie Segetich, until her best friend Emma disappears. Natalie swears something took Emma, and though most people write Natalie off as traumatized and confused, Jack is a soulshifter and he knows the human-stealing Enuuki—hell’s messengers—are real. As a soulshifter, Jack can cross into the underworld so he sees Emma’s rescue as an opportunity to prove himself a valuable member of his transcendental sect—and a way to secure a future otherwise out of his reach. Although he needs Natalie’s help to prepare for the mission, Jack intends to go to the underworld alone. But as a viable plan takes shape, it’s clear the best chance of success means Natalie must accompany him. On the eve of the quest, when Jack is promised the hand of a respected elder’s daughter—a dream come true—he realizes he’s no longer sure what he wants. But it’s too late to back out, not with the sect and Natalie counting on him. Pursued by the dark lord’s henchmen and ghastly mutant creatures, Jack and Natalie struggle to come out ahead in a battle and barter for souls. In the end, Jack will have to decide his own fate, because nothing short of a deal with the devil will get all three of them out of hell alive.
